Artist Statement
I am a self-taught abstract artist based in Searcy, Arkansas, whose work is rooted in a lifelong exploration of color, movement, and material. Since committing to art full time in 2015, I have developed a distinctive visual language defined by bold palettes, layered patterns, and richly textured surfaces. Working primarily in acrylics and mixed media, I incorporate unconventional tools and materials to build dimensional compositions that invite both visual and physical engagement. My process is intuitive and responsive—each piece evolving through a balance of control and spontaneity, where gesture, rhythm, and surface become essential elements of the final work.
I am drawn to the tension between structure and freedom, creating paintings that feel both dynamic and resolved. My intention is to produce work that is not only conceptually engaging, but also transformative within a space—pieces that hold presence, energy, and depth.
