The mission of the Y is to put Christian principles into practice through programs, services and relationships that build healthy spirit, mind and body for ALL. 6-Square Jam organizes a community-wide, all-inclusive art show and sale in which everyone, no matter your level of artistic skill, is invited and welcome to participate. Proceeds support the work of the Westville Village Renaissance Alliance.
Arts & Healthcare provides innovative arts experiences (both passive and active) in healthcare settings. We use a variety of arts disciplines to help reduce stress, anxiety, pain, burn-out, etc. for both patients and caregivers. Recognition we have received includes: Society for the Arts in Healthcare International Healing Arts Award; Red Cross Regional Runway Award (most innovative project); National Art Education Association Award for Best Work Outside the Profession. After working in the Hurricane Katrina shelters, we published a book about our experiences using artists as first responders and using the arts to help people heal.

Our mission is fostering art and culture in Acadiana. Founded in 1975, Acadiana Center for the Arts (“AcA”) is a community-supported nonprofit organization that fosters art and culture in Acadiana. Since its founding, AcA has developed as a major force, shaping the future of public education and community development in South Louisiana. AcA supports the creation of new works of art, exhibits, festivals, performances, and public art across an eight-parish region that includes Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion Parishes. AcA aims to bring equitable access to the arts and supports fair compensation of artists. On average, AcA serves over 300,000 people annually and provides fair compensation to 2,700 artists.
