My artistic journey began with a love of drawing, painting, and poetry as a child, but it has been shaped by a lifetime of observing people, places, and the stories they leave behind. After a career devoted to preserving art, architecture, and cultural heritage, I returned to the studio with a renewed sense of purpose. I am inspired by ordinary moments, family photographs, working people, and the quiet emotions that connect us across generations. Whether painting in oils or creating original prints, I seek authenticity over perfection. My work explores resilience, belonging, memory, and the beauty found in everyday life, inviting viewers to pause and reflect.

Artist Statement

I create paintings and prints that explore the emotional lives of ordinary people. Working from photographs of family, friends, and everyday individuals, I build images rooted in authentic experiences and real stories. Rather than simply reproducing a photograph, I simplify shapes, colors, and details to strengthen composition and emphasize the emotional heart of the image. I am drawn to the quiet moments that make up most of our lives, believing they reveal who we truly are. Through my work, I hope viewers connect with my subjects experiences while gaining insight into how people lived, worked, and found meaning in our time.
