Bridgeport Arts & Cultural Council in partnership with City Lights Gallery, is seeking powerful, thought-provoking artwork for an upcoming show entitled, Broken But Beautiful: Youth Beneath Capitalism which gathers fragments of young people’s memories past and present to reveal the emotional cost of dreaming within a collapsing system. Shaped by pressure, expectation, and survival, this show exposes both the fractures and the fierce resilience that define their coming‑of‑age. Even in their brokenness, they remain expressive, empowered, and undeniably beautiful.
Submission Guidelines: Artists of all backgrounds and ages are invited to submit work in any medium including paintings, photography, three dimensional & sculpture that speaks to the theme.
Must be a Connecticut based artist
**Three piece submission limit per artist for review
Must be wired and ready to hang
Must understand that there is no guarantee of sales**
Must agree that City Lights Gallery will take a commission for artwork sold during this show
