Did you play in a school or community band? Is your clarinet gathering dust in your closet? Whether you last played 20 minutes ago or 20 years ago, you are invited to join friends and strangers in Sousapalooza! On June 21, hundreds of wind band players – from rusty amateurs to accomplished orchestral musicians – will gather in parks and plazas, from Anchorage to Atlanta, to sightread the quintessentially American music of The March King, John Philip Sousa. Advance (free) registration encouraged to stay in the loop about any late-breaking changes due to weather or circumstances beyond our control. Planned Program: 1. The Thunderer 2. That will take place on Wednesday, June 17th from 6:30 pm to 8 pm in the Cheshire High School Band Room at 525 South Main Street, Cheshire, CT.
