Cost: $50 non-members $35 members Please contact Nora at nora.puls@wham-art.org for discount code Schedule: Morning: 9-12:30 -Wheel demo -Layering Demo with discussion of design principles -Making Terra Sig Lunch 12:30-1:15 Afternoon: 1:15-3 -Hands on tile exercise *Each person will get a leather hard tile and will be given a design prompt that will relate to the mornings design techniques* Concepts: Learn to integrate rhythm, balance, and harmony into your work to create more thoughtful designs Skills: Learn to make Terra Sigillata and try out sgraffito, mishima, & more Projects: We will work on leather hard tiles to try out new ideas What to bring: Brushes & carving tools of your choosing Sketchbook Bio: Heather was born in upstate New York and has since moved around quite a bit. In 2012 she received her BFA from East Tennessee State University and later worked as a Resident Artist at Odyssey Clayworks in Asheville, NC. From 2018-2021 she traveled in a little camper with a mobile pottery studio around the western United States.
