Artist Statement
As a Craft Artist, my work is rooted in the philosophy of creative reuse. While I occasionally incorporate new components—such as transforming copper hardware washers into minimalist earrings—my true passion lies in upcycling discarded treasures. I specialize in breathing new life into forgotten objects: turning reclaimed tree branches into organic planters, vintage flatware into statement jewelry, and repurposed leather or textiles into modern accessories. There is a profound satisfaction in the 'reveal'—showing a customer how a vintage necktie or a weathered fence board has been reimagined into something beautiful and functional. To me, craft is the skill, but the art is in the transformation While most may see me as just a crafter, I believe there is art to the process and so I consider myself a Craft Artist!
