About

Nina Garza is a conservation-focused wildlife artist and founder of Artsefact, based in the Houston area, who uses fine art to raise awareness for endangered and lesser-known species. Her work combines detailed, semi-realistic painting with research-driven storytelling, highlighting animals often overlooked in conservation conversations. A portion of every sale supports wildlife and habitat conservation, turning collectors into active contributors. Her work has been recognized internationally, including the Grand Prize at the 2024 World Lemur Festival.

Artist Statement

My work centers on endangered species and the stories they carry. Each piece begins with research and aims to translate complex conservation issues into something emotional and accessible. I often focus on lesser-known animals to broaden awareness beyond the familiar, using composition and detail to draw attention to what is at risk. Through my work, I hope to create moments of connection that encourage curiosity, empathy, and action.
