Painting has been a lifelong passion, rooted in my childhood explorations with color, and it became my professional pursuit after my nest emptied. My works, exhibited across Chicago, Texas, Florida, and Virginia, invite viewers to pause and reflect, finding echoes of their own stories in my layered textures and bold compositions. Through my art, I aim to inspire courage, evoke emotion, and spark meaningful connections, proving that the journey of creation is as transformative as the work itself.

Artist Statement

As a self-taught artist, my journey with color began in childhood, where creativity was my constant companion. It was only after stepping into the freedom of an empty nest that I fully embraced my passion for mixed-media art, turning it into a professional practice that speaks to my deepest inspirations. Working with acrylics, paste, paper, inks, charcoal, and crayons, my art explores themes of empowerment, joy, and connection. Whether capturing the resilience in a woman’s gaze, the intimacy of a couple, or the raw energy of abstract forms, my work reflects life’s dualities—its stillness and its motion, its simplicity and its complexity. Nature remains my muse, infusing my work with textures, hues, and rhythms that mirror the world around us.
