Artist Statement
Nicole’s clay practice centers around colored porcelain patterns called tapestries, which are created by hand and inspired by scenes from Dallas life, travels and architecture. Colored clay is unique because the patterns created are throughout the clay instead of just a surface decoration. Its meaning is uniquely embedded deep within the heart of each piece, a reminder that beauty is always within reach.
