It all started a number of years ago, I saw a pin of a wood and resin bracelet. I wanted so badly to create my own unique version of that bracelet, I asked a woodworking friend if he had a way to help me create it. Well, he didn’t have a lathe so he set me up on a drill in a vice. I left that day, no bracelet, but I had all my fingers (luckily), a coaster, and a fresh reminder of how much I enjoyed 8th grade woodshop!
I immediately got into woodturning, and although I abandoned the idea of resin work, I fell in love with the therapeutic and creative outlet turning provided.
Fast forward a few years and a couple lathes later, I still have all my fingers and I’ve come full-circle as I now incorporate resin into my woodwork. Pouring resin and mixing colors to create each unique galaxy-inspired piece of functional art is now my favorite creative outlet. Even more recently, we have added laser-cutting to the shop, and have found another beloved tool to help us continue to innovate and create!
