Artist Statement
I create laser cut and etched art including multi-layered wall art, wall plaques, journal & sketchbooks and hand turned wood pens. I first draw my concept art on paper, then redraw it digitally and convert the image to a vector file so my computer can communicate with the laser cutter. The wood is sanded, stained and sealed before cutting and etching, then each piece is cleaned of burn residue and polished to bring out the beauty of the wood. I paint the backgrounds before assembly. My version of "prints" are all individually made by me. My "prints" can be hung up as is, put in a frame or bought from me framed in frames that I make.
