I have loved art as far back as I can remember. When I was a little girl I would draw the horses in a field next to our house and have my sisters pose so I could draw them. I began painting in oil paints in 1975. I enjoy painting flowers, portraits, animals and landscapes. After several years of painting with oils I began painting in watercolor in 2006. I also enjoy work in Pastels and Prismacolor pencils. I have taken classes from several artists over the years. I have spent thirty years critiquing and striving to improve my work at every level of media. My daughter is a teacher and was working with 5th graders for UIL in art. I helped teach the children the history of art and taught them techniques such as balance, contrast, and perspective. After the UIL was complete the children wanted me to teach them how to draw, We had a great time and I actually learned a lot myself.
