Our mission as Artesanias Claudia is to transport you to Mexico with just a scent. We offer 100% soy wax candles with essential oil blends in reusable artisanal Mexican ceramic. Each ceramic piece is made by Mexican artisans and as a family, we handpour candles inside them to share scents that celebrate our Mexican heritage. Each scent is inspired by our favorite florals, cities in Mexico, memories, and culture that we hope help others connect to them as well. My daughters and I started making candles for a helping cause: to help my mother with her medical care. Our candles became more than a literal beacon of light but of hope for her recovery. My mother, Antonia, was our foundation and guide of principles to help others when needed, and we have continued to do that even when she passed away in December 2023. In her honor, we continue to work with various organizations that give back to our Latinx community and individuals with medical care expenses. Creating these candles has been therapeutic in reconnecting with my Mexican roots after more than 20 years of not being able to visit Mexico, the grief of my mother's passing, and other events that life throws our way. Each candle was made by a mother's love (hecho con amor de mama).
