Diane Shapley-Box created Apple Pie Publishing in 2009. She has produced nine books and has won international, national, and state awards for her art and children's book series. All of Diane's artwork is done by hand. In addition, her husband, Kevin, and other talented family members have contributed to bringing exceptional stories to young children.
Patrick Ackerman, Diane's son, joined the team in 2019 and has added his talent to the Apple Pie Publishing adventure. Patrick's paintings are also hand-created, and his stories are equally impressive. Patrick is an award-winning artist and skilled in creative writing. His first book, "Clyde the Crawfish King," has been a hit with both kids and parents. Looking closely, you may find his mother's character, Fred the Frog, hidden on his pages.
